I got to 90 Wednesday night after what felt a never-ending level 89. We can say all we want we don’t care about the levels, when you’re on that last level those old rpg habits kick back and you want to get that last level as soon as you can. It happened as I was mass murdering giant praying mantises in townlong steppes. And what did I do to celebrate my new max level character?
Nothing, I kept on questing for a bit and went to bed after buying flight for Pandaria. The following day some archeology and we went to Karazhan for shit and giggles. The only “endgame” activity I did was some scenarios and I’m not even sure those counts. In short, I kept messing around like I was doing and I’m still having fun doing that. No rush to max reps, no instances or gearing plans or other things I used to do before when I hit max level.
I’m writing all of this because I was a bit afraid my old raider habits would kick in when I got to 90 and I’d fall back into old patterns but I’m glad to see they didn’t. So far derping is keeping me entertained and relaxed and I need that right now, playing an MMO just to relax without worry about performance or stuff like that. All of this to say thank you Blizzard for making a game where I can play without thinking too hard.
