"So far I don’t think it’s a bad game but it just doesn’t click… I’m giving it more time to see if it gets better later on."

Just to be clear what you experience at the start of GW2 is similar to what you experience at "endgame". ArenaNet has been very firm in de-emphasizing the "endgame" concept. What they do emphasize is making the game accessibly for all players and not just those who have time for raiding. Additionally there are no "raids" in GW2. The biggest instances are all 5-mans.

Paradigms have shifted with the release of GW2 and I expect all future MMO's will adopt many of the groundbreaking game changes GW2 has brought to the genre. What is clear though is the traditional "raiding" model is quickly dying as as a core factor in MMO's.

For myself GW2 has revitalised my guild (we are a multi-game group) and we've had more people logging in than ever. People are enthusiastic and actually talking about an MMO. We've not had this level of interested since the release of WoW.

You need to approach GW2 with an open mind and enjoy what it offers. I am sure many of your fellow guildmates are already playing it even if they do not want to admit it. ;)

Wow. You're kind of like me. I play gw2 like you play wow, just run around and do stuff. I play swtor because my guild of loved ones is there, so it's my outlet for group content, but I find myself not logging in if we're not slated to do something. Some nights I even avoid mumble so I don't get guilted into it (by myself, not my guildies) and (excuse warning) so I can hear the voice overs in tsw. I'm getting back into tsw because I've got a lifetime and I love stories (and Funcom). And I'm hardly ever logging into wow, though I did check out the new talents. Thanks for giving me thoughts for a blog entry. And thanks for all the tsw and tor posts you've put out there (those have piqued my interest most).

Playing WoW mostly for the people, though looking forward to playing MoP. Not sure what I'll do thereafter.

Currently consumed by World of Tanks, of all things. Not sure why, but I'm finding it very addictive.

Curious about other things, but I know my attention is too focused on either WoW or WoT (and a couple of single player games like Max Payne 3 and Sniper Elite).
